January 22, 2024: Rally Public Land for Public Good at First Church of Crown Heights
On August 23, 2023, a passionate rally was held at the Governor’s Manhattan office, where our East Brooklyn Congregation (EBC) members proudly stood alongside hundreds of housing activists, all united in a resounding call for 100% affordable housing at Creedmoor in Queens. With the rising cost of living in New York City, we came together to advocate for the allocation of state-owned land at Creedmoor in eastern Queens to create 1,000 new affordable rental units and 300 affordable houses, sending a powerful message: #AffordableCreedmoreNow
